Tis the season to be jolly! As I wrap up preparations for Miss Universe 2016 in New York City, I am eagerly packing to return home to the US Virgin Islands for the holiday season. Christmas day for me has always been sunny and 80 degrees, but I must admit it’s been quite fun to bundle up and experience a true cold winter. I’ve also enjoyed seeing the holiday decorations pop up around the city, it really puts me in the holiday mood!
As an island girl, there is a struggle between wanting to feel warm and not wanting to loose your curves. But, layering, layering, layering has saved me. This neutral cashmere turtle neck has been through many a chilly day with me. Usually I pair it with jeans and boots, but when layered under a ultra-feminine slip dress, it transforms. I love the buttery soft textures of the nude cashmere and pink satin combined with burgundy suede and accented with pops of metallic.
Thanks for tuning in guys! I appreciate your kind words and support for Miss Universe 2016, it really means the world to me! Wishing you all happy holidays!
