Welcome to my newest segment: The CC List, where I gush and send all my love + good vibes to everything under the sun that I’ve recently fallen for or have long obsessed over, from skincare brands, to fashion designers, to top destinations and hotels around the world – I’m spilling my heart out on all things special to me.
At the first and top of my list is a designer that I’ve only recently discovered due to my obsession with Pinterest, Instagram, and travel/fashion photography. If you’re into any of those things too, there’s no doubt you’ve also come across the dramatic, voluminous imagery of Innika Choo and felt the strong desire to be that cool, carefree woman effortlessly flowing in her many layered vintage dress on an overcast beach.
With it’s romantic, free form, vintage, bohemian, takes-you-to-another-world-kinda-aura, I introduce you to none other than: Innika Choo.
Founded by Innika Choo herself, a gorgeous Australian living in Bali with her husband and two daughters, each collection is inspired and designed with her free-spirited, on-the-go lifestyle in mind.
Whether you’re actually free-spirited or just want to feel that way, this is the perfect addition to your summer and vacation wardrobe.
When I get dressed in the morning, I only have two moods: cinch-the-waist or more-volume-than-Marie-Antoinette’s-cake-please. Luckily for me, Innika Choo’s dresses hit both of these moods at the same time.
My favorite piece from her last collection is this creamy floral embroidered dress I’m wearing here, with frilled layers-a-plenty. I love the voluptuous, dramatic sway of the dress as I walk down the street and at the same time, I love how light and airy it feels in the summer breeze. When styling, I wanted my dress to be the star, and I paired it with simple brown leather slides (immediately kicked off as soon as I hit the sand), this bucket bag with fun rope detail for extra texture, and mixed metal sunglasses.
I’m always in a midi-mood, and find it more inspiring to get dressed when designers play with oversized volume and interesting hemlines. The deep-v neck and empire-inspired waistline work together create a distinct silhouette that I’m incredibly drawn to – whatever mood I’m in.
And while my dress shown here is unfortunately sold out (because it was wildly popular!), there are so many brilliant and colorful designs from Innika Choo’s latest collection! I’ve linked some of my favorite pieces available below – all twirl worthy and giving major vacay vibes:
Whether you’re planning your next trip to Bali or just seeking a show stopping dress to add to your summer collection – Innika Choo is at the top of my list for fun, forever-summer-inspired dresses, wherever in the world you may be.
All my love, CC
